Badagry All Stars Football Club has launched a new club logo at its annual New Year Get-Together, marking a fresh chapter in the team’s journey and reaffirming its commitment to unity, excellence and grassroots sports development in Badagry.

The event brought together political leaders, sports enthusiasts and club supporters, with the Club President, Mr Asokere Sejuro, who also serves as Council Manager of Lekki Local Government, leading members and guests at the well-attended gathering.

Speaking during the ceremony, Sejuro described the unveiling of the new logo as a symbol of renewal and shared responsibility, noting that Badagry All Stars FC has evolved beyond football to become a platform for friendship, wellness and community bonding.

He thanked leaders and supporters for their continued backing and assured that the club would remain guided by discipline, teamwork and positive representation of Badagry.

The official unveiling of the logo was performed by Hon. Rauf Ibrahim Kayode #Yemaren #RIKAY, Executive Chairman of Badagry West LCDA and Founder of RIKAY FC. He commended the club for sustaining the values of sportsmanship and teamwork, describing football as a vital tool for youth engagement, talent development and community growth.

Earlier, Hon. Babatunde #Hunpe, Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government, joined the team dressed in full sportswear, a gesture that highlighted his strong support for sports development in the area. He urged players to approach the new year with greater determination, stressing that football remains a powerful unifying force that promotes discipline and collective identity.

Also speaking, Hon. Yahaya Lateef, Commissioner at the Lagos State Civil Service Commission, applauded the consistency and steady growth of the club. He encouraged players to stay focused and disciplined, noting that sports plays an important role in leadership development and fostering community pride.

As part of the celebration, outstanding players for the 2025 season were honoured for their performances:
- Abbas Sonayon Owolabi – Top Scorer
Wasiu Muritala – Most Improved Player
- Ahmed Mustapha – Most Disciplined Player
- Ahmed Awesu – Most Valuable Player
